I found Jim's web site about 2 years ago, and it has changed my life.
I have 2 flats in Eastbourne that I rent out, but I do not live in Eastbourne.
Now when I have a problem (almost any problem) Jim is the first call I make.
He generally takes over the problem - it could be a leaking tap,or a leaking roof, leaking toilet, blocked sink,  curtain track falling down, shelving, pretty well anything, and if Jim cannot sort it out, he knows someone who can.
I cannot recommend Jim enough, he has always done a great job,
he is very personable, and very reasonable with his prices.
Joyce Digges / Meads

Jim has done various jobs for us over the years, from repairing a garden shed, plumbing, fitting new doors, renewing a porch roof, various carpentry work, and computer advice.  His work has always been to a very high standard. He is reliable and hard working and we have no hesitation in recommending him.

I have used Jim'll Fix It many times in my job as Steward of  the Eastbourne Seniors Club  I have always found him to be very professional and caring and would strongly recommend him

Living outside Eastbourne & not knowing any painters, plumbers, repairers etc
I was very lucky to contact Jim first.  He not only was able to meet me at short notice & repair the sash windows beautifully & promptly, but he also was able to film his handie-work so I could see the windows working from Paris!
He did a small repair job in the kitchen and lastly, he was able to recommend a good painter and decorator, which was very helpful.
It's a shame not all workmen are like Jim.

Jim has undertaken a variety of jobs for me over the past two years (eg building fitted wardrobes from scratch, repairing sash windows, constructing cupboard and boxing to hide unsightly boiler and associated pipework...) all of which has been done to the highest standards of workmanship. I have been delighted with everything he has done. Moreover, Jim is someone you can trust. He is a cheerful and very pleasant person, who comes up with intelligent solutions to what often can appear to be difficult or complex problems. I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending him.

If you want a very reliable handyman who's work is excellent and leaves the room he's worked in clean & tidy, and doesn't  charge the earth then Jim is your man.
Lynn  / Eastbourne near Asda

I came across Jim about five years ago when I was desperately searching for a handyman; on the off chance I did a search on Google not expecting any success. But my search was rewarded with Jim’s web site and I have never looked back.
He has done numerous jobs for me personally, my Mum and my company
Below are a few of the varied jobs that have saved me so much time and hassle:
Putting together flat pack bunk beds
Fixing a cupboard to a wall
Mending some tiles
Putting a new roof on a shed
Fixing a new external post box
Fitting spotlights
Fixing doors on a kitchen unit
Fitting a new tap that a plumber had quoted an extortionate amount to fix
Making shelves
Fixing ceiling lights
Fixing towel rails
Putting up pictures on a solid wall

The great thing about Jim is he always fixes the problem quickly and very professionally,  I would definitely highly recommend him.

Jim has worked in my home a couple times and I can thoroughly recommend him to be honest and above all  a excellent all round craftsman.
Maureen Steenmeyer / Eastbourne

Jim fitted a beautiful kitchen for me.
He was always happy and punctual .... and can drink tea for England!!!
The price was very reasonable.
The electrician he recommended was also excellent.

Jim is a very patient and very skilful carpenter but also seemingly very good at anything else you throw at him!
He made to our specification some bedroom cupboards and some beautiful book cases either side of an old Victorian fire place. He sourced all of the materials for excellent (low) prices and ensured they were finished beautifully.
Before asking Jim to do this work we gained quotes from four other tradesmen - all of these were three to four times more expensive than Jim's quote.
He turns up when he says he will, is always cheerful and polite and always tidies up after himself.
If you are lucky he also brings the biscuits!
Ruth / Meads

Would highly recommend Jim - he got back to us very quickly by email and then came and fixed our gate quickly and thoroughly and for a reasonable price.  We'll definitely be calling him again to help come and fix some other stuff!
Thanks Jim.
Julie / Sovereign Harbour

Jim has done several jobs for me and the work has always been completed to a good standard and at a reasonable price. He will tackle most jobs (even small ones)and is very good at clearing up afterwards!
LW / Hampden Park

Jim was recommended to us by a neighbour, and how gratefull we are.
He has helped us with adjustments to locks and extractor fans, carpentry
and it's good know we can rely on him when we have problem.
He is prompt, professional and a gentleman.

Jim has done a couple of small jobs for me in the past.
In September 2010 Jim undertook the huge task of building me a new kitchen.
He was usually on time, worked very hard, was creative in his ideas
(moved things around to make life easier), cleaned up before leaving and drank lots of tea.
I love my new kitchen.
It was better than I imagined it would be, and that's thanks to Jim.
Janette  / Seaside

Jim fixed two of our sash windows at Bright Beginnings Nursery School. Not a problem for Jim's long arms! Nice to have the old style windows working properly.
Thanks Jim!

Jim'll Fix It -- no truer word has ever been spoken!
I live in a converted  2-bed flat in Eastbourne, and having two left hands I've called upon Jim many times to fix things.
"No job too small" is his motto, and that has been so true.
Jim has fixed ceiling lights, put up shelves, hidden an unsightly boiler with a cabinet to match the rest of the kitchen, done the coving in the kitchen, and even fixed my laptop!   All very quickly and to a reasonable price.
He's always cheerful and helpful, and if the job is requires a specialist -- for instance, complicated electric works -- he knows someone who can do it.
I would recommend him in an instant!
